Percussion

Chantelle’s music journey began on percussion in 2008 when she joined the Cranbourne Lions Concert Band, where she still plays to this day. She was also a member of the City of Greater Dandenong (Brass) Band from 2010 to 2019.

She plays drum kit, mallet percussion (xylophone/glockenspiel), timpani and all auxiliary percussion.

She has played with concert bands, brass bands, orchestras and amateur musical theatre pit bands.

In 2014 she took part in the MSO’s Symphony in a Day project where amateur musicians were invited to perform with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

Chantelle entered the national solo percussion championships in 2015 and was awarded 2nd place in Open Snare Drum, Open Timpani and Open Multi-Percussion.
